Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
Qummo is a visual routine app operated by parents and caregivers for children. We built it so that your family's data never leaves your family. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means.
The short version
- We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal data. Our privacy label on the App Store is "Data Not Collected".
- Everything you and your child create in Qummo — profiles, routines, progress, rewards — lives on your device and in your family's private iCloud, which only you can access. We cannot read it.
- There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind — for children or adults.
Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Qummo is a parent-operated tool: adults set up the app, create routines, and manage the subscription behind a grown-up PIN. Children use a simplified, almost text-free mode that contains no purchases, no external links, no ads, and no social features.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account, an email address, or any registration for anyone — adult or child.
The one thing that leaves your device — and why it's safe
Some optional features (routine suggestions and short encouragement messages) are generated by an AI service running on our servers. When you use them, the request may include at most a child's first name and non-identifying context such as a routine type and a streak count.
- This is ephemeral processing: nothing is stored, logged, or linked to any identity. The request is processed, the answer is returned, and the data is gone.
- If our servers are unreachable, the app quietly falls back to its built-in offline library — these features never require an internet connection to work.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store payment details. Purchases are gated behind the grown-up PIN.
iCloud sync
If iCloud is enabled, Qummo syncs your family's data between your own devices using your private iCloud database. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and encryption; we have no access to it.
Your choices
- Delete the app to delete all local data. Data in your private iCloud can be removed from iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
- You can use every core feature of Qummo fully offline.
Changes
If we ever change how Qummo handles data, we will update this page and the app's App Store privacy label before the change takes effect. We will never weaken the promises above for children's data.
